Founding Families · 250 spots

Pay for a year and a half. We'll cover the rest — until high school.

Monty is new, and the first families in are the ones who'll shape it. So here's our founding deal, stated plainly:

$149 CAD, once. Less than eighteen months at the regular price — and your family pays no annual fees until your youngest starts high school. Every feature, every update, everything we ever build — including Grow, the practice-investing add-on, when it ships. Up to five kids. One payment, then just Monty O'Clocks.

When these 250 spots are gone, they're gone. The next 250 will be $199 — still a good deal. This one's better.

Full refund, first 4 Monty O'Clocks·No real money held·Founding Family badge in your workspace

Coverage runs through August 31 of the calendar year your youngest child turns 14, covering their Grade 8 year. One per family workspace · non-transferable. Why we're doing this →

Why “four Monty O'Clocks”?

Because Monty isn't an app you evaluate in an afternoon. It's a five-minute ritual that happens the same time every week — and a habit needs a few repeats before you can feel it forming.

Four Monty O'Clocks is enough to set up the jars, run the split a few times, and watch a goal start to climb. You'll probably get at least one not yet week — the honest kind, where the goal is still a way off. You might even get a let's go get it.

If after four Monty O'Clocks your kid isn't asking when's Monty o'clock?— don't pay. That's the deal.

(Yes, on every plan — including the founding one. Four Monty O'Clocks, full refund, no questions.)

No real money. Ever. No real trades, no real accounts — nothing to win or lose but understanding.
Coming: the Grow add-on

Practice investing — before real money is ever involved.

Grow is practice investing for kids: pick real companies they know, watch pretend shares rise and fall, and learn how markets work — with the same rule as everything else in Monty. No real money. Ever.

It's a bigger build than a jar, which is why it ships on its own timeline as an optional add-on — so your plan price never quietly grows, and only families who want Grow pay for Grow. Unless you're a Founding Family. Then it's just included.

Financial education, not investing. Grow never touches real markets with real money.

Common questions

The fine print, out loud

Is there a free plan?

There's something better: four free Monty O'Clocks with every feature turned on. We'd rather you try the whole thing than live in a limited version of it. No credit card required to start.

What's the difference between the plans?

Only how you pay. Every plan has every feature for up to five kids — monthly is for zero lock-in, annual saves $21 a year, and the founding deal is one payment until your youngest starts high school. We don't gate features, because your kid's money lessons shouldn't depend on which plan you picked.

Which plan should I pick?

Honestly: annual, for most families — it's the same as monthly but $21 cheaper over the year. Pick monthly if you want to stay uncommitted a while longer. And if you're in early enough to catch a founding spot, that's the best math on the page — $149 once instead of $99 every year.

What's the Founding Families deal, exactly?

The first 250 families pay $149 once — less than a year and a half at the regular price — and pay nothing more until their youngest starts high school. That includes every feature update and the Grow add-on when it ships. Coverage runs through August 31 of the calendar year your youngest turns 14, covering their Grade 8 year. The date is based on the children on your account when you join. When the 250 spots are gone, the next cohort is $199.

If I add a child later, does my founding coverage extend?

New kids are welcome on the account anytime (up to five profiles), but the high-school start date is set by the children on your account when you join. That keeps the deal simple and the same for everyone.

Can I switch plans?

Anytime. Monthly to annual, annual to a founding spot while they last — you'll only ever pay the difference going forward, and your family's record comes with you.

Is Monty a bank account?

No. Monty is a money habit app. There are no real accounts, no debit cards, and no real transactions — your bank stays the source of truth.

Is Monty financial advice?

No. Monty is financial education. It helps kids build habits and understand money — it isn't financial planning guidance, and Grow, when it ships, won't involve real investing.

What happens if I cancel?

Your subscription ends, but your family's record doesn't. Every split, goal, and Monty O'Clock your kid logged stays saved and viewable, read-only. Come back anytime and pick up where the jars left off. On the founding deal: full refund within your first four Monty O'Clocks; after that, your family has full access until your youngest starts high school.

What's the Grow add-on?

Practice investing — pretend shares in real companies, so kids learn how markets work before real money is ever involved. It ships as an optional add-on so your plan price stays put — and it's included at no charge for Founding Families. Join the waitlist and we'll tell you when it's ready.
